Unfortunately, nothing exciting to report from this week’s checkup. We have another appointment next Tues to see if Tanner will have made some progress by then. Quite bummed because our Dr. goes on vacation next week and then will be out again for Labor Day weekend. We really wanted Dr. Jick to deliver the Tankster.
So, in the meantime, we continue to wait . . .
Today we had our last sonogram. It looks like I have huge chipmunk cheeks and lots of hair (possibly more than Dad). The Dr. estimates I’m about 7.5 lbs. Length is impossible to measure because I’m all curled up (laying on my left side). Although, I do have two huge-sized feet right next to my face.
Mom was convinced I was going to come early, but now thinks I’ll either be right on time or late. I haven’t moved into position yet, and seem content to just hang out and enjoy these last few weeks in the womb.
Mom would post the sonogram pics, but they are very hard to make out. I’ll be here soon enough!
Today, we had our eight month (32 week) check up. I’m pretty active these days, stretching, kicking and hiccuping quite a bit. Exciting news — I’m not bald, I have hair. My measurements are the size of a 33 week-old, and my estimated weight is approximately 4-5 pounds. The doctor told mom I’ll be gaining approximately half a pound per week between now and birth — so I’ll likely be between 7-9 pounds. If I go full-term, I’ll be here in 8 weeks . . .
I was very alert during today’s sonogram. This is a picture of me yawning.
Today, we had our 28 week (7 month) sonogram. The umbilical cord was floating around in front of my face and I was moving around quite a bit, so it was challenging to get some good pictures. The funny thing is that in some of the photos I have an umbilical cord moustache (Mom and Dad thought this was funny!) We go back in another 4 weeks, and if I’m in a good position, we’ll take a few more photos. So far everything is going really well. Mom is currently measuring around 30 weeks, so that means I have plenty of room to kick and stretch.

We’ll do more 3-D/4-D photos at 26-28 weeks, but the Dr. gave Mom a sneak preview today.
Mom promises this will be the only time you’ll see my private parts on this blog. She had tears of joy at today’s sonogram appointment.
I should be losing the end of my zygote tail any day now. Mom swears I look like a boy. Perhaps it’s wishful thinking because she really wants a boy. Dad doesn’t have a preference. We should be able to find out in a few more weeks. To be continued . . .
Mom heard my heartbeat for the first time today.
